sports interviewer Detective

Among the many anecdotes that I've experienced in my many decades as a reporter, sports commentator and interviewer, is that of a colleague in the activity also was detective our civilian police.

It was the seventies. During the week, John was working in the investigative category, but Saturdays and Sundays acting in the field of radio microphones.
In that situation was unusual to see him in interviews with the players changing rooms before and after games.
But on one occasion had to make a weekend day as the detective, so rather than get backstage to report on a sports program, there appeared no microphone to question the foreign athletes about the legality or illegality of their stay in Chile, citing those who could not fully prove their case to the corresponding quarter.

Since that evening, the foreign players began to look to colleagues with suspicious eyes, because I do not know whether their presence in locker rooms was radial ... or police.
